Fiat Returns to the United States with the New 500 Fiat is making its comeback to the North American market at the Los Angeles International Auto Show slated to run from 17 to 28 November.
Rivaling the famous Mini Cooper, the Fiat 500 is quite a potent car despite its small size. The Fiat 500 is 7 inches shorter and narrower than the Mini Cooper.
Fiat also modified the model and adapted it to US standards, adding a softer suspension and more power. The 1.4 liter petrol engine is capable of 110b horsepower
The U.S. 500 will come in three trim levels -- the entry-level Pop, the Sport and the Lounge. The Fiat 500 USA price list starts at 15,500 USD for which you'll get the 1.4-litre engine developing 101 HP (75 kW) at 6500 rpm and 133 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm.The car will be built in Mexico, but the 1.4-liter, 100 hp. engine will be made in the U.S.

Laura Soave, CEO of Fiat in North America, says potential buyers of the 500 are not older folks who remember Fiat's former U.S. vehicles as gorgeous but troublesome. Fiat quit the U.S. market after the 1983 model year.
